In a bold move to reclaim its position in the robotics market, iRobot has unveiled a new series of Roomba vacuums, enhancing both affordability and functionality. Marking a significant upgrade a year after its first lidar-based vacuums debuted amidst a turbulent financial landscape, iRobot’s latest lineup offers prices plunging by as much as £200 (approximately $270).

The new models promise up to 25% smaller dimensions, allowing them to navigate with greater ease around low furniture, and are equipped with increased suction power—a crucial feature for modern cleaning demands. Moreover, many of the units introduce a ‘hot spot mopping’ capability designed to tackle stubborn messes through a pre-treatment spray before mopping begins.

Acquired by Shenzhen Picea Robotics, iRobot’s reimagined approach includes eight new models that will make their debut in mid-2026, rolling out across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The first to hit the market will be the Roomba 415 Combo and the 115 Combo, already listed on iRobot's UK website as ‘coming soon.’

The pricing begins at £229 (around $309) for the base model 115 and ascends to £799 ($1,080) for the high-end Roomba Max 775. This shift is notable as the previous series commenced at £249, with a top price of £999.

Innovative Features and Design

The flagship Roomba Max 775 Combo showcases impressive specifications, boasting a suction power of 30,000Pa—an impressive leap from the 705 series’ 16,000Pa. It includes dual rubber roller brushes optimized for hair collection from carpets and features a self-cleaning roller mop.

Equipped with an AutoWash dock, the Roomba Max 775 can empty its bin, wash its mop with hot water, and dry it using hot air, streamlining the cleaning process for users.

Mid-Range and Entry-Level Options

The mid-range Roomba Plus line includes models 615 and 675, priced at £599 and £699, respectively, both featuring roller mops and the new hot spot mopping feature. These models offer suction power between 20,000Pa and 30,000Pa, leveraging iRobot's traditional lidar navigation alongside camera-based, AI-powered obstacle detection.

The entry-level Roomba 115 Combo also delivers significant enhancements, including 15,000Pa suction power, representing a substantial upgrade from previous generations.

As domestic consumers increasingly seek intelligent and versatile cleaning solutions, iRobot's latest offerings signal a promising recovery for the storied brand. With the integration of advanced technology and competitive pricing, the new Roombas aim to set a new standard in robotic cleaning.
